Raul Vivar,
Raúl Vivar, BSOE, RN,
graduated from Wayland Baptist University, Plain View, TX, with a Bachelor
of Science in Occupational Education in Health Care management and Nursing
Education degree. He has 18 years of distinguished active military
service in the U.S. Army. He has participated in and coordinated the Burn
Special Medical Augmentation Response Team (SMART) world wide mass
aeromedical evacuation of casualties. He was a member of the team that
participated in the care of severe burned patients from the US Army 82nd
Airborne Division MASCAL accident at the Air Pope AFB, North Carolina,
March, 1994. He is actively involved in burn education and research and
shares his nine years of burn experience with health care providers from
all over the world. He has participated as Burn Subject Matter Expert (SME)
member of the U.S. Army AMEDD Center & School’s in third world countries,
most recently as a consultant in Peru and Guyana.
