Kathleen Boyer,

Kathleen M. Boyer, MS, RD, CNSD, CDE received her  BA in Psychology from North Carolina State University in 1983 and an M.S. in Nutrition from University of the Incarnate Word in 2000.  She graduated from the U.S. Army Dietetic Internship Program in 1995 and served as military dietitian for 3 years at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) from 1995-1998.  She has done inpatient and outpatient nutrition education and intervention and worked with hundreds of adult and pediatric patients.  She was the Chief, Clinical Dietetics Branch, at the USA MEDDAC, Heidelberg, Germany from 1998 to 2001 and has been the Dietitian for the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research since 2001. Duties include screening and assessment of all patients admitted to the BAMC/USAISR Burn unit, development of nutrition care plans for all patients to include designing enteral and parenteral nutrition regimens.  She serves as a preceptor for Army and Air Force. She is also currently serving as the Brooke Army Medical Center Renal Dietitian.  She is certified through the American Society of Enteral and Parenteral  Nutrition (ASPEN) as a Nutrition Support Dietitian (CNSD) and is also recognized by the American Dietetics Association (ADA) as a Certified Diabetes Educator.
